What is CBD?

First off, we know what you are thinking…
What is CBD? Is CBD Marijuana? Does CBD get you high? Is CBD legal?
We are here to answer all of your questions and put your mind at ease, literally.

No, CBD is NOT marijuana.
No, CBD will not get you high.
Yes CBD is legal.

CBD is one of the most highly coveted components in hemp, a plant whose properties have been utilized for therapeutic purposes dating back thousands of years to the origins of Chinese medicine. CBD stands for Cannabidiol, one of the many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, a plant that has been used for centuries by many cultures to promote health and healing.

How does CBD work?

Anytime we put a substance in our body, it interacts with our body’s receptors to enact a physiological response. Cannabis and CBD interacts with the body’s cannabinoid receptors, (CB1 & CB2) a part of our wider endocannabinoid system.

All cannabinoids, including CBD, produce effects in the body by attaching to certain receptors.  The body naturally produces cannabinoids to help regulate functions like mood, pain, and sleep, but these can become diminished due to internal imbalances or external stressors. Supplementing the body’s natural cannabinoids with hemp-derived CBD may help bring the body back to balance.

Hemp CBD companies must provide Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) also known as third-party lab test results showing that the product does not contain THC (the compound that gets you “high”).

What is Broad Spectrum CBD?2019-12-04T21:33:30-06:00

Broad Spectrum CBD products contain an array of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes–but have no THC.  Hemp plant must undergo additional processing to isolate and remove as much trace amounts of THC possible to create Broad Spectrum CBD, while still preserving its therapeutic properties. Our proprietary processes do not expose the extracted products to high temperature or adverse conditions as with other manufacturers’ fractional distillation processes. We preserve the plant’s terpene profile, keeping it as close to nature as possible, while removing all THC.

What is the difference between CBD Isolate and Broad Spectrum CBD?2019-12-04T21:25:31-06:00

CBD is extracted from the Hemp plant. There are different methods of extraction which yield different kinds of extracts. Another term for these extracts is “hemp oil.” Some CBD products use isolate which is just CBD lacking all of the other compounds of the plant. Isolate is not as beneficial as it is missing the compounds that help CBD work. “Broad spectrum” CBD extracts contain 80-90% CBD. The remaining 10-20% of the concentrates include the plant’s naturally occurring terpenes and phytocannabinoids. It is believed that these compounds aid in bioavailability, so that the body can absorb and make the best use of CBD. The overall impact of hemp’s combined cannabinoid and terpene content is known as the entourage effect. In the case of broad-spectrum CBD, these cannabinoids and terpenes work together to produce a range of effects which is greater than the sum of its parts. Recent studies show that broad spectrum extracts which include terpenes are up to four times stronger, per unit, than CBD isolates which do not. All One CBD products are produced from organically grown phytocannabinoid rich broad spectrum hemp oil extract.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?2019-12-04T19:28:16-06:00

Technically, both hemp and ‘marijuana’ are cannabis. Hemp is low-THC, high CBD cannabis, and ‘marijuana’ is the opposite: high in THC and low in CBD. THC is the psychoactive compound in marijuana that causes a high. Hemp is not marijuana. Although hemp does contain cannabinoids, it has negligible amounts of THC. In order to be legally cultivated, industrial hemp must contain less than 0.3% THC by dry volume. All One CBD products are made from Hemp, where we remove any remaining traces of THC and then re-test to confirm.

What is the difference between HEMP SEED oil and HEMP oil?2019-12-04T21:27:25-06:00

Hemp oil is CBD oil. It is extracted from the leaves, flowers, stems, and stalks of the plant and contains cannabinoids and other compounds. Hemp seed oil, on the other hand, is pressed from the seeds of the plant, and contains NO CBD. Hemp seed oil does not have the same properties and benefits as Hemp oil/CBD oil. All One CBD products are created from Hemp Oil and contain CBD.

What should you look for when purchasing CBD products?2019-12-10T03:41:14-06:00

Organically Grown / Made in the USA / Lab Tested: Before taking any CBD products, ensure they are from a reputable source that provides hemp CBD products with third-party lab test results. Also, ensure all Hemp CBD products you buy are grown in the USA. Hemp, like many plants, can absorb the toxins and impurities in the air and soil in which it is grown. Some Hemp extracts on the market come from other countries and may contain heavy metals and other chemical contaminants.

Who can benefit from CBD?2019-12-04T19:58:01-06:00

Everyone. CBD is an all-natural product that helps maintain overall health. If it is certified Hemp CBD and contains 0% THC, CBD is safe for most people. If you are on medications or have a health condition, you should discuss with your physician before taking CBD.

cbd oil reviews

I take the Radiant Citrus drops during the day and function normally with focus, they don’t make me drowsy at all.  I have noticed I fall asleep much faster when I take them, and wake up refreshed.

best cbd salve

I use the CBD salve on my knees each morning and it is a total game changer. Without the salve my knees are killing me halfway into my run. I’m 42 years old, so I’m noticing a lot more stiffness than I used too. The CBD salve really helps.
